• Bi-Vocational Associate Pastor

The Bi-vocational Associate Pastor (Part Time, 10hrs/week) will

support the lead Pastor by assist with various Pastoral

duties/ministries. Under the direction of the lead Pastor this

could include either taking over certain duties or by a rotation or

by substituting for absences. These would be tailored to the

gifts/talents of the individual as well as the general needs of the

church. Examples of such ministries might include:

1) Assistance with Pastoral visitation

2) Assistance with Preaching (Sunday morning, Sunday evening,

Wednesday evening) when the Pastor is on vacation, sick, or

unavailable. This could be on a sporadic or regular rotation

basis.

3) Assistance with Teaching (e.g., Sunday School class,

Griefshare, Sunday or Wednesday evening bible study). This

could sporadic or on a regular rotation.

4) Leading/conducting Baptisms, communion services, or

funerals in the absence of the Pastor.

5) Assisting the Pastor in special events (e.g., annual block party,

vacation Bible school, etc).

6) Assisting the pastor in attendance in committee meetings.

This is a bi-vocational role, approximately 10 hrs per week.

Primary income would be from another source, typically a full

time job, a high level part time job (30hrs+) or other income

stream.

Preferred Qualifications/Education Requirements:

1) Prior Ministry experience and/or Ministry Education; some

combination or equivalent. Experience can include

volunteer as well as paid service.

2) Applicant has either has been ordained or is willing and

eligible for ordination.

3) Adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message.
